Whey protein isolate
A diet optimal in complete, balanced and easily digested lean protein of the highest biological value(BV) that promotes strong muscles and bones, optimal tissue regeneration and repair, a focused mind, and a balanced appetite. NanoProPRP uses certified undenatured whey protein that assures the bioactive peptides that promote antioxidant, detoxification, immune and repair functions have not been denatured by heat.
Whole Colostrum
Colostrum is the “pre-milk fluid” produced by the mammary glands during the first few days after giving birth. Colostrum is a rich source of prebiotics, antibodies, and growth and immune factors, as well as complete protein, healthy lipids, and vitamins and minerals. NanoPro’s bovine colostrum is derived from the first and second milking of cows, when the immune and growth factors are at their peak.
Proline Rich Polypeptides (PRP)
PRP are natural nano-peptides carefully extracted from colostrum. These delicate molecules are then packaged in BioPharma’s patented SuperSorb® technology to help them survive the harsh environment of the digestive system. These PRP include immune factors thought to balance our immune response and growth factors thought to support repair and regeneration. Gram for gram, NanoProPRP’s colostrum powder has more PRP than any other colostrum supplement, making it the most powerful immune modulator of its kind.
Reduced Glutathione
Reduced glutathione is a very special peptide that plays a major and essential role in health as an antioxidant, detoxifier, and regenerator of vitamin C. Our bodies can make glutathione from the peptides in whey as long as they have not been inactivated (denatured) by too much heat. However, glutathione as such is not absorbable. Therefore, in NanoProPRP reduced glutathione is “pre-packaged” in BioPharma’s patented liposomal technology, called SuperSorb®, to enhance bioavailability.
Organic Selenium
Highly bioavailable, organic selenium is added because it helps regenerate glutathione, the above very powerful antioxidant, detoxifier, and regenerator of vitamin C.
Soluble Fiber Prebiotics ( Vitafiber™)
These are a special class of carbohydrate present in fruits, vegetables and roots, that are only slightly digested in the small intestine. Therefore, though sweet, they provide much fewer net calories than most carbohydrates. Fermented by the "friendly bacteria" in the colon, called probiotics, soluble fibers support a healthy colonic ecosystem and are therefore called prebiotics. Inulin’s soluble fibers may also support normal cholesterol and blood sugar maintenance and mineral absorption.
Enzymes
Although already less then 1% lactose, NanoProPRP contains lactose digesting enzymes (called lactase) to help prevent any discomfort or gas from milk lactose intolerance.
PRP and Immune Balance
"PRP activates an under-active immune system, helping it move into action against disease-causing organisms. PRP also suppresses an over-active immune system, such as is often seen in (allergies, chemical sensitivities and) autoimmune diseases. PRP is highly anti-inflammatory and also appears to act on T-cell precursors to produce helper T-cells and suppresser T-cells”2
The thymus is a small, flat, organ located under the breast bone in front of the heart. It is of central importance in the maturation of T cells which help our immune systems stay in balance. These T cells are called Th-1 and Th-2. When the T cells are in balance, our immunes systems:
- Respond appropriately to infectious invaders, like viruses, bacteria, yeasts and parasites.
- Do not over react by mounting an attack against small amounts of generally harmless substances, or even our own body’s proteins, as in allergies, chemical sensitivities, and autoimmune diseases!
When our immune systems do not react strongly enough to infectious agents, or are overwhelmed by them, we have a “Th-1” immune imbalance. When our immune systems are over- reactive we have a “Th-2” imbalance and we may manifest allergies, chemical sensitivities and even auto-immune disease.
Proline Rich Polypeptides, abbreviated PRP’s, do not treat any symptoms or diseases. Rather they send signals to the thymus to help the immune system regain its proper balance.
In its 1995 report on functional foods the American Dietetic Association concluded the following:
Nutrients and other bioactive food components that occur naturally in foods act synergistically with other dietary elements...dietetics professionals have a unique opportunity to promote whole foods.... In addition...functional food products can be developed that further enhance the health benefits of food...a combined functional food and food supplement approach may afford the greatest protection...."
